Terms and Conditions
Please read, these are quite important.

1. Health and Fitness Requirements
SAOR Fitness sessions are designed to be physically engaging, social, and accessible. Participants are asked to declare any injuries at the start of every session. If it becomes clear that you are attempting to train when you should not be, you may be asked to sit out or leave the session for your safety and to aid your recovery.
If you have moderate to serious pre-existing injuries or medical conditions, it is strongly advised that you consult a medical professional before attending. SAOR Fitness accepts no responsibility for any exacerbation of pre-existing injuries. By attending, you assume full liability for any health risks associated with your participation.
While we aim to be as inclusive as possible, certain activities may not be suitable for individuals with significant mobility limitations. If joint strain or impact-based activities pose a risk, we recommend gradual conditioning before joining SAOR Fitness.
2. Age Restrictions
You must be at least 18 years old to attend SAOR Fitness sessions. If accompanied by a relative/guardian, then 16.
There is no upper age limit. As an adult, you are the best judge of how your age and fitness levels impact your ability to take part. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out before attending.
3. Kit and Equipment
All participants are responsible for wearing weather-appropriate clothing and suitable footwear. If you turn up in kit that isn’t suited to the conditions, take it as a learning experience.
-
Expect outdoor exposure (not like that!), so layer accordingly for the weather.
-
Good quality, grippy trainers or hiking boots are essential.
-
If you arrive in poor footwear, you will either struggle through or regret it—your choice.
Expensive kit and budget kit are both equally likely to get dirty, so choose wisely.
4. Pausing or Stopping During a Session
There’s no shame in stopping or taking a break. If you experience shortness of breath, joint pain, dizziness, or any other abnormal symptoms, listen to your body and stop. Your safety is your priority, there’s no competition here unless there is.
If necessary, leave the session and rest, then come back in when you're all good again. Remember, it's best to burpee another day than to never burpee again!
5. Group Dynamics
SAOR Fitness fosters a positive, friendly, and supportive atmosphere. Our activities encourage interaction, teamwork, and fun. However, this is an adult environment, and while camaraderie is encouraged, you are responsible for handling interpersonal interactions with maturity.
What to expect:
-
A welcoming environment that encourages connection and participation.
-
Group-based activities where you meet and engage with different people at each stage.
-
A zero-tolerance policy for bullying, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour.
This is an informal space for social fitness, not a matchmaking service or a debating society.
6. IS IT FREE? Payments & Donations
SAOR Fitness is free at the point of use for 4 monthly sessions. All from taking the free membership.
SIGN UP HERE. You can cancel at any time and then payg if you prefer.
We are funded in three ways:
1. Sponsors
2. If you take a paid plan.
3. PAYG with zero additional commitment.
4. Personal Training Sessions.
Whether our income comes from donations, PAYG casuals or merchandise sales, funds go back into SAOR Fitness to purchase equipment and possibly cover costs for group events, such as mud races etc., or at least the fuel to get there :)
7. Common Sense Participation
SAOR Fitness operates in natural, outdoor environments, which means unpredictable conditions.
Sessions are not gym-based, so expect to:
-
Adapt to the weather and terrain.
-
Engage in social and movement-based activities.
-
Take personal responsibility for your comfort and safety.
Use common sense to make the most of the experience, and always come prepared for the environment.
8. Injury - trips - slips
Look where you are going, you are outdoors, and there are potential 'hazards' everywhere, from slippery ground to trees and rocks and gravity.
Wearing suitable kit will reduce your risks, listening to instructions reduces your risks and being situationally aware reduces your risks. If you repeatedly pose a risk to yourself and to others, despite instructions, you will be removed.
