Why SAOR Fitness Exists aka Belfast Group Fitness (And Why You Might Just Love It)




You don’t need a gym mirror to know you’re working hard. And when going to Belfast Group Fitness with SAOR Fitness, you won’t find one, well, you won't find one, unless it's made out of still water!


We train outdoors, in the muck, under the clouds, on the hill, or under the occasional Belfast sun. SAOR (say “Say-Or”) Fitness was built for real people who want real results without the robbery, mirrors, or overpriced 'extras'. No pressure, no egos, no gorpahs flexing in string vests. Just you, a patch of ground, and a bunch of other people who showed up to feel better, move better, and get a bit stronger.

SAOR Fitness is here because fitness shouldn't be reserved for people with fancy gym memberships or two hundred quid leggings. We’re about lowering the barrier to entry, without lowering the standard.


  • Got no pennies to rub together?  No worries. Our Free Membership gives you 4 sessions a month. That’s hikes, beginner’s workouts, and mixed outdoor training. No hidden costs. So stop being angry at the weirdos in the park, and come and join in :)

  • Got one penny, but nothing to rub it against?  You’re in luck. The Premium Plan (£25/month) gives you 8 sessions, and yup, that includes the Extreme stuff (if you dare).

  • Two pennies and feeling flush?  Well done. The Unlimited Plan (£40/month) gives you full access to everything: hikes, workouts, challenges, and a front-row seat to whatever weather Belfast decides to spoil us with, likely rain to be fair.


No one knows who’s on what plan. So whether you’re training for free or training flat-out, it’s just you, the workout, and the weather.



What’s Belfast Group Fitness like?

Unpredictable. Beautiful. Brutal. Honest.

One day it’s sunshine, so get the sunscreen on. The next day it’s raining, so grab your jacket. The ground might be flat, or it might be a slope designed to humble you. Sometimes you’re mid-sprint and a tree appears where no tree should be. Watch where you’re going. You’ll probably fall at some point. That’s alright, just try not to make it dramatic.


Your hands? Take them out of your pockets. You’ll need them.


But that’s the joy of it. It’s not sterile. It’s not polished. It’s functional fitness for real life — where you climb, crawl, hike, fall, get up, and go again. You get stronger without needing to check your reflection to prove it.


Who’s It For?

Adults aged 30+. People who want to feel better and move more. People who don’t need techno music, neon lights, or a squat rack selfie to know they’ve done something worthwhile.

You don’t need to be fit to start. You just need to start.

Who’s Running This Show Anyway?

That’d be me, Mark. I’m 51 (52 in June - gifts accepted, bribes considered, just saying). I’ve been active all my life, mostly because I don’t sit still well. I bench press cows in my spare time (they love it), once won a Six Counties knitting competition while doing burpees, and still can’t figure out how to relax on a beach.


But seriously, I believe training should be challenging, but not intimidating. Fun, but focused. And open to everyone, no matter where you’re starting from.
